At Hereditary Cancer Support, we understand the importance of a good doctor-patient relationship. That’s why we make it easy to coordinate your genetic test results directly with your doctor.


Who is this option good for?
Choose this option if you already have an oncologist you trust or are in cancer remission and want to find out if your cancer is hereditary.

Step 1

Get your genetic testing kit in the mail

After determining which genetic test makes the most sense for you, we’ll mail your genetic testing kit straight to your door.

Step 2

Take your genetic test at your doctor’s office

The test itself simple. You will provide a small sample of DNA using your saliva. Your sample will be sent directly to Myriad’s genetic testing laboratory to be processed. The findings will then be sent back to your doctor for review.

Step 3

Get your results and create a prevention plan with your doctor

If your test results indicate that you carry a gene mutation that increases your cancer risk, you and your doctor will use the results to determine a plan to reduce your cancer risk or to catch it as early as possible.
