At Hereditary Cancer Support, we want to make genetic testing as easy as possible. That’s why we’ve partnered with experienced genetic counselors to help people understand their genetic test results right from the comfort of their own home.

Choose this option if you prefer convenience and just want to get the facts behind your genetic test results.

Step 1

Get your genetic testing kit in the mail

After determining which genetic test makes the most sense for you, we’ll mail your genetic testing kit straight to your door.

Step 2

Take your genetic test at your doctor’s office

The test itself simple. You will provide a small sample of DNA using your saliva. The sample will be sent directly to Myriad’s genetic testing laboratory to be processed. The findings will then be sent back to your doctor for review.

Step 3

Get your results and create a prevention plan with a genetic counselor

Your genetic counselor will call you with your results. If your test results indicate that you carry a gene mutation that increases your cancer risk, you and your genetic counselor will use the results to determine a plan to reduce your cancer risk or to catch it as early as possible.
